North Coast Red Seal Ale

Kokeilinpa vähän interaktiivisuutta käyttää oluen valinnassa. Naamakirjaan laitoin kuvat kolmesta oluesta ja lupasin että eniten tykkäyksiä saanut on seuraavana maistelussa. Aika vähän niitä sitten tuli. kaksi niistä sai kokonaiset 2 tykkäystä mutta tämä vielä lisäksi komnentin jonka laskin tykkäykseksi. Auttaisitte nyt hyvät ihmiset, noita on niin paljon että on vaikea valita. No, Uskon että loppua kohden se valinta kuitenkin helpottuu. Ainakin vaihtehtoja on silloin vähemmän.

Mutta asiaan.

North coast Red Seal Ale on kotoisin californiasta. American Pale Ale tyyppinen olut. Valmistusaineina käytetty vettä, ohramallasta, humalaa ja hiivaa...eikä muuta ;)

Väriltään kuparinpunertava olut muodostaa kaadettaessa melko vahvan vaahdon joka laskee melkopian jättäen kuitenin lasin reunaan ja oluen pinnalle mukavan pitsin. Itse olut on hiukan sameaa mutta selkenee lasissa hiukan.

Maku on tässä oluessa mukavan messevä :D

Runsas maku joka alkaa sitruksella ja ehkä vähän kinuskilla vaihtuu pehmeän yrttisen kautta purevaan jopa alemaisen kitkerään humalaan. Täyteläinen mutta ei kuitenkaan hyäkkäävä.

Hyvä olut saunan jälkeen nautiskeluun tai illan viettoon pikku purtavan kanssa vaikka vähän voimakkaamman makuisen kanssa. Ruokajuomaksi en kuitenkaan tätä ottaisi, liian voimakasmakuinen.

Mikäs olisi sitten seuraava? vaihtoehdoiksi voisin asettaa kiinalaisen, tsekkiläisen ja skotlantilaisen. Kommenttiin saa kirjoittaa noista toiveita.

This time I tried to make it little bit interactive. I posted three pictures of beer to facebook and promised that the one which gets more likes, will be the next beer in this blog. Not so many likes they had. Actually two of them got two likes and on also had a comment that I had to count as a like. Please, people, Help me to make the choise. I have so many choices at least now. Maybe later it will be more easy. At least all the time there will be less the choices ;)

But, back to the topic:

the Winner beer from those three was North coast Red Seal Ale. It is American Pale Ale type of beer.

Ingredients are: water, Barley Malt, Hop and yeast...and nothing else.

This beer is lightly copper red in colour and while poured into a glass it creates quite strong foam which soon melts and leaves nice lace to the edges of the glass and on the surface of the beer. The beer itself is kind of foggy but soon gets clear a little.

Taste of this beer is luscious.

Full bodied beer which have at first sharp citrus, maybe some caramel, then it slowly turns through herb to biting, bitter hop aroma giving a long feeling of deep, verstile taste. Strong but still not too attaching. 

I would not take this with meal but after sauna it is perfect and when just spending time wiht some snacks, even hot spicy ones..

And what could be the next beer. I coud put here Chinese, Czech od Scotch. Comments, please.
